THE FANDOM AWARDS is a celebration of our biggest obsessions in pop culture. Fandoms play a vital role in pop culture, and their passionate support can greatly impact the success of movies, TV shows, books, and more. From creating their own cannon, to helping bring shows back from the dead, they are more than fans, they too are creators. 

When developing the Fandom Awards brand and packaging, the concept of emojis was a logical step in conveying the emotions of fandoms, and a quick and playful way to illustrate unfettered excitement and adoration. We knew that we needed a unique execution to make emojis ownable, so we tapped into Sam Lyons AKA Jelly Gummies’ brilliant and unsettling vision to create a set of emojis that evoked the weird vibes of old school MTV and a series of category vignettes that further developed a universe for them to inhabit.

For the trophy itself, we developed a heart eyed emoji, cast in metal and plated in gold, sitting atop a tapered black base, becoming a modern and unforgettable symbol of the Fandom Awards brand.
